Everything a node does.
Nothing a node costs.

QSO One is a complete amateur radio client for AllStarLink, EchoLink, DMR, and M17. Here's what's inside.

AllStarLink

Full AllStarLink support, two connection modes.

QSO One connects to the AllStarLink network using the full IAX2 protocol — the same protocol used by physical nodes. Choose how you connect based on your registration status.

  • Node Mode — connect using your registered AllStarLink node number and credentials
  • WT Mode (Web Transceiver) — connect as a guest without a registered node
  • IAX Direct — connect straight to a specific server with operator-issued credentials
  • Automatic HamVOIP server detection for optimal routing
  • Four-step connection cascade that finds the right path every time
  • Full DTMF support for controlling nodes and repeaters
  • Directory of 39,000+ AllStarLink nodes with search and favorites

EchoLink

EchoLink that works everywhere.

Many EchoLink clients fail on cellular or behind CGNAT. QSO One includes automatic proxy fallback, so you stay connected even when direct UDP is blocked.

  • EchoLink Direct — standard UDP connection for home and office networks
  • EchoLink Proxy — automatic fallback when direct connection fails
  • Works on cellular, CGNAT, and restricted networks where others fail
  • Directory of 6,500+ EchoLink stations and repeaters
  • Full DTMF support
  • Requires a valid amateur radio license and EchoLink registration (free)

M17, the open digital voice mode, built in.

M17 is the fully open-source digital voice protocol, made by and for amateur radio. No proprietary vocoder, no central database, your callsign is your ID. QSO One connects you straight to the M17 network.

  • Reflector and module selection — pick any M17 reflector and module right in the app
  • Open Codec 2 voice — fully open-source, no proprietary codec or licensing
  • No separate registration — your callsign is your ID
  • Reflector directory with search and favorites
  • Receive and transmit, all in software
  • On-screen, spacebar, and Bluetooth PTT

Mobile

Stays connected. Even when your phone doesn't.

Most radio apps drop their connection the moment you switch apps or lock your screen. QSO One keeps the session alive with a persistent foreground service — designed for real-world mobile use.

  • Persistent foreground service keeps your session alive on Android
  • Stay connected while switching apps, taking calls, or locking screen
  • Optimized for cellular networks with reconnect logic on network switches
  • Low battery impact — connection maintained without excessive wake locks
  • iOS support coming soon
